A line pump is a trailer pump that pushes concrete through hose laid on the ground. It goes where trucks cannot: through gates, along side yards, into backyards and interiors. For ground level pours with tight access, it is usually the right tool and the lower quote.
Hose has limits. Very long runs, steep uphill pushes, and stiff mixes all work a line pump harder, and the crew handles hose by hand, so placement is slower than a boom. If your run is extremely long or the pour is elevated, the operator may steer you to a boom and will tell you why.
Line pump work is typically an hourly rate plus a per yard charge, with a lower minimum than a boom. Hose length beyond the standard setup can add cost, so measure your run from the street to the far edge of the pour before you request a quote.

Ballpark ranges from published 2025 to 2026 US rate guides. Pump size, yardage, distance, and schedule move the real number. The operator confirms the final price before anything is booked.
Operators carry enough hose for typical residential runs, commonly a few hundred feet of line on the trailer. If your pour is unusually far from the street, put the distance in the request so extra hose comes on the truck the first time.
Hose sits on the ground and the crew routes it around landscaping when you point out what matters. It is far gentler than driving a mixer across a yard. Mention sprinkler lines, septic, and drains so the route avoids them.
Line pumps want a pumpable mix, usually a smaller aggregate and the right slump, ordered as a pump mix from your ready-mix supplier. Tell the supplier a pump is on the job when you order. The operator will confirm the mix on the quote call.
Most Huntsville area boom pump jobs start between $800 and $1,300 for the minimum, then run $200 to $255 per hour plus $4.00 to $4.50 per yard pumped. Line pump jobs start around $600, at about $160 per hour plus about $4.50 per yard. Your quote depends on pump size, yardage, and how far the truck travels.
Nothing. You pay the operator for the pumping work at the price they quote you. This site is a quote and matching service, and your request goes to one local operator, not a lead auction.
An independent local operator, not this website. We route your request and they quote, schedule, and perform the work under their own terms, licenses, and insurance.
